BDS Grad Dip Clin Dent (Oral Implants) Sydney Uni MDS Prosthodontics (I.P. Pavlov University, Russia) With over 25 years of extensive clinical experience, Dr. Nick Kulkarni is a respected implantologist and mentor based in Sydney. Trained across multiple continents, he holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Mumbai, a Master’s in Prosthodontics from I.P. Pavlov University (Russia), and a Graduate Diploma in Oral Implants from the University of Sydney. He further refined his implant expertise through advanced training at the prestigious Misch Institute in Florida and the Walpole Institute in London. Dr. Kulkarni is also a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), underscoring his commitment to excellence and leadership in implant dentistry. Having practiced internationally, from India to Russia, Dubai, and Western Australia, he now serves patients across Sydney and regional NSW as a visiting implant dentist. A passionate teacher, he also regularly mentors and conducts implant training courses for fellow dentists. He is the principal of the Leichhardt Dental Centre, where he runs a general dental practice with special focus on dental implants and restorative dentistry. Known for his calm demeanour, ethical treatment approach, and patient-centred philosophy, Dr. Kulkarni excels in creating a comfortable clinical experience that balances high-quality care with empathy and trust.

Dr. Minoo Vellani
BDS (Sydney) GradDipClinDent (Conscious Sedation and Pain Control) (Sydney) With over 20 years of experience running his own Sydney dental practice, much of it focused on oral surgery and implant dentistry. Dr. Vellani developed a passion for sedation dentistry. In 2006, he became a Dental Board–registered Sedationist, a qualification he has maintained ever since. As a dentist himself, he understands the challenges colleagues face: anxious patients, complex surgeries, and long treatment plans. Today, he bridges the gap between dentist and patient, creating a calm, stress-free environment that allows patients to feel safe and dentists to perform at their best. Dr. Vellani’s philosophy is simple: no patient should fear going to the dentist in this day and age. His personalised sedation plans make oral health care anxiety-free for patients, whilecreating an ideal clinical environment for practitioners.
